And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with an uppercut.
Diaz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wesker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Wesker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Diaz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Wesker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Wesker is trying to break free.

Diaz successfully pulls guard.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wesker defends well.
Wesker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Wesker wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.

Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wesker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wesker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Diaz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wesker controls the pace.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Wesker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Diaz, up you get!

Diaz goes for a takedown attempt but Wesker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diaz is breathing heavily.

Wesker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wesker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Diaz has left one of his arms exposed and Wesker doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Diaz screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
