The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basbaum missing with a left hand there. Nascimento was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nascimento throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Basbaum throws out a loose jab but Nascimento uses good head movement to avoid it.
Basbaum misses with a two punch combination.
Nascimento lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nascimento.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nascimento dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Basbaum. That did some damage!
Nascimento looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Basbaum looks gassed!
Nascimento drops Basbaum with a beautiful combination! Basbaum stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nascimento is looking for the KO!
Basbaum is rocked!
Basbaum avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Basbaum is still on wobbly legs! Can Nascimento finish him?
Nascimento is looking to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Basbaum. No joy for Nascimento on that attempt.
Basbaum seems to have recovered his senses.
Basbaum misses the jab.
Nascimento lands a nice looking body kick.
Nascimento feints and then cracks Basbaum's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Basbaum down.
Nascimento tries to close the distance and clinch but Basbaum swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Basbaum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nascimento uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Basbaum has time to react.
Nascimento closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Basbaum out cold! Basbaum corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Benny Nascimento!
