Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Briza DoUrden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Briza DoUrden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Johnson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from DoUrden.
Johnson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

DoUrden gets the takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
DoUrden has knee on belly momentarily but Johnson bucks him off and regains half guard.
DoUrden moves into full mount! Johnson won't be happy about that!

DoUrden is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnson!

DoUrden throws his legs up looking for a submission but Johnson uses it to pass to side control.

Johnson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down DoUrden's shoulder. That is not cool.
Johnson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused DoUrden some visible discomfort.

DoUrden sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Johnson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
DoUrden is trying to get back to full guard.
Well, if Johnson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Johnson trying to mount his opponent but DoUrden defends it.

Johnson stands up out of the half guard.
Johnson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Johnson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics DoUrden uses from the top position.

DoUrden wants to stand but Johnson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

DoUrden gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Johnson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and DoUrden decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.
DoUrden tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
DoUrden wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
DoUrden is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DoUrden preventing the sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
DoUrden tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.

DoUrden postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Johnson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of DoUrden, into his guard.
DoUrden is breathing heavily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in DoUrden's guard.

Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on DoUrden, up you get!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. DoUrden swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johnson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jack Johnson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Johnson is trying to control the action in half guard but DoUrden is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Johnson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Johnson wants to control from the top but DoUrden keeps moving.
Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of DoUrden is proving hard to escape from.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

DoUrden shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. DoUrden showed some decent athleticism there.

Johnson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
DoUrden is fighting to break Johnson's control of his arms but Johnson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Johnson pulls DoUrden in close to his closed guard and prevents DoUrden from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Johnson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Johnson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
DoUrden throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

DoUrden looks to clinch
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jack Johnson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
DoUrden rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Johnson moves into the clinch.

Johnson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed DoUrden clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Johnson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for DoUrden.
DoUrden is in bad spot here.
Johnson has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for DoUrden.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Johnson.
Johnson is riding his opponent, not letting DoUrden buck him off.
Johnson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

You can see the frustration on DoUrden's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
DoUrden is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Johnson controlling well, preventing DoUrden from escaping the position.
DoUrden trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Briza DoUrden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
