Washington has chosen "Hawaii Five-O" by The Ventures as his entrance music. Corey Washington acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sausage lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Washington has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Washington and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Washington misses the shot to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sausage.

Sausage looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Washington is fending him off so far but Sausage persists. Nope, Washington circles away and we're back to standing.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sausage, as that shot connected.

Sausage lands a lovely overhand right.
Sausage stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Washington.

Washington takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sausage steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Washington.
Nice uppercut lands for Washington. That snapped Sausage's head back.
Sausage tried to score with a low kick but Washington checks it.

Sausage uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Washington.
Washington lunges at Sausage with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sausage's hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sausage jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Washington lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Washington rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sausage moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Washington looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sausage throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Sausage shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sausage was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sausage has hold of Washington's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Washington manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Washington is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters are battling for position here. Washington manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Washington is looking to stand up but Sausage isn't so interested in that idea.
Sausage wants to pass the guard but Washington is keeping the position.

Washington seems keen to control Sausage's posture.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sausage thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Washington clobbers Sausage with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Washington has cracked Sausage with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Washington lands another huge swinging hook and Sausage tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Sausage, before Washington can land any more shots!
