The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiyoshi slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hiyoshi with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Hiyoshi scores with a nice head shot.
Hiyoshi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hiyoshi dips to his left and cracks Silva with an uppercut!
Donk. Hiyoshi catches Silva right on the button with a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hiyoshi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.
Silva is rocked!
Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva tries to land a front kick but Hiyoshi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Hiyoshi finish him?
Hiyoshi cracks Silva with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Silva looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hiyoshi finish him?
Silva tries to get into range but Hiyoshi steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Silva! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Hiyoshi scores the big KO victory!
