The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drone is looking to clinch but Brinks is avoiding it.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyson Drone will probably get the nod.

Brinks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Drone has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brinks is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Drone.

Drone shoots in for a double leg but Brinks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Brinks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Drone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brinks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Drone has managed to get both his arms back between Brinks's legs - danger averted.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brinks is on top in guard.

Drone scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brinks doesn't seem bothered though.

Brinks tries to land a leg kick but Drone saw it coming and moves away.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Drone bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Drone sneaks out the side door and pushes Brinks away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Drone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brinks napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Brinks throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
