Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Byron Hibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Basciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basciano shoots in for a takedown but Hibbs shows good takedown defense.
Hibbs looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Basciano shoots for a double leg takedown but Hibbs sprawls well. He's pushed Basciano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Basciano is trying to drag Hibbs to the mat but Hibbs just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Basciano is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hibbs is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Basciano to the mat. Basciano regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Basciano had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hibbs is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Basciano Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hibbs's back instead.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Basciano has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Hibbs! Can he survive? No! He's out! Basciano gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
