The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McOwester has closed the distance and engaged Dali in a clinch.
Dali is trying to break free.
McOwester throws an elbow that misses.
Dali wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McOwester keeps control of Dali as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dali working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Dali manages to break the clinch.
Dali connects with a solid leg kick.

Dali bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McOwester looks gassed!
Dali passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McOwester!

Dali stands up from mount. Strange move.
McOwester moves out of range as Dali strikes.
Dali slow jab from McOwester misses its intended target.

Dali shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
McOwester is refusing to be controlled, as Dali sits in half guard.
Dali is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McOwester is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Dali moves into full mount! McOwester won't be happy about that!

Dali looking to secure an arm triangle but McOwester defends it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dali fails to take his opponent's back.

Dali working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. McOwester turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Dali off and cradles McOwester's limp body as Dali celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Salvador Dali!
