I think Schultz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Proven (Hatebreed). Dave Schultz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Schultz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Force!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Force looks to land a body kick but Schultz moved away.

Force shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Schultz's guard.
Schultz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Schultz wants to improve his position but instead Force has moved into half guard.
Schultz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Schultz tries to get out of the position.
Schultz tries to kick Force off but Force keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Force passes to side control.
Force staying calm.
Schultz is looking to regain half guard here but Force keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
An elbow from Force crashes against the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schultz wants to control but Force postures up.
Force fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Force has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Schultz prevents Force from improving position.
Schultz wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Force working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Schultz defending against the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Force takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Schultz scores with a jab to the body.
Schultz swats away the attempt to clinch by Force.
Force shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schultz pinned against the cage. Schultz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Schultz stalks Force and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Force's face. Force staggers backwards, shaken.
Schultz stuffs the takedown.
Force dodges the punch combination from Schultz.
Force ducks under a wild hook from Schultz.
Force slips a straight right by Schultz.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Schultz misses with a few strikes there.
Force fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Dave Schultz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Schultz sizes up Force with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Schultz throws a combination. Force tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Force slips a jab and a cross from Schultz.
Force has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Force there as he acknowledges the shot.
Schultz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Force moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Schultz misses the shot to the body.
Schultz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Force.
Schultz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Schultz misses with a wild body shot.
Force shoots in looking for a takedown. Schultz tries to sprawl out of it but Force keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schultz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dave Schultz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Force.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Force tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schultz swivels and escapes.
Some wild striking there from Schultz.
Schultz stalks Force and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Force's face. Force staggers backwards, shaken.


Force is rocked!
Schultz moves in close and cracks Force with a massive right hand! Force, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Schultz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dave Schultz!
