Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Lindkvist!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindkvist leaves Banks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Lindkvist. No joy for Banks on that attempt.

Lindkvist fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Banks sprawls well initially but Lindkvist persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lindkvist not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Lindkvist is thwarting Banks's attempts to control the position.

Lindkvist is working for a submission of some sort.
Lindkvist trying to mount his opponent but Banks defends it.
Banks tries to kick Lindkvist off but Lindkvist keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Banks tries to roll over but Lindkvist keeps him under control.

Lindkvist is working for a kimura but Banks is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lindkvist wants to pass to mount but Banks is defending the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lindkvist scores with a one two! Banks had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Lindkvist lands with a nice combination. Banks backs away looking to recover.
Bryan Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lindkvist.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Banks parries the strikes from Lindkvist easily there. Lindkvist is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Banks to escape.

Banks is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lindkvist is controlling him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lindkvist throws a nice looking combination but Banks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lindkvist closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Lindkvist is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Banks knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Banks is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lindkvist is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Banks tries for a takedown but Lindkvist circles away easily

and Lindkvist counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lindkvist.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Banks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Lindkvist counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lindkvist cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Banks wants to control but Lindkvist is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Banks is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lindkvist shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lindkvist showed some decent athleticism there.

Lindkvist looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Banks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Banks has one foot on Lindkvist's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Lindkvist counters by moving into the clinch.

Lindkvist escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Lindkvist gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Banks wants a takedown but no success here.

Lindkvist is trying to trip Banks. He has hold of a leg but Banks is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lindkvist persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Banks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lindkvist is one step ahead there.

Lindkvist has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Banks to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lindkvist is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Banks pulls down on the head and he's put Lindkvist to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bryan Banks!
