Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Quiad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerry Fasstte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quiad's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Slade - Run Runaway. Gerry Fasstte is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fasstte throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Some wild striking there from Quiad.
Quiad throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fasstte counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Quiad!
Fasstte throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Quiad is looking for a sweep. Fasstte is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fasstte with the ground and pound but Quiad uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Quiad is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fasstte working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Fasstte postures up in Quiad's guard and throws a big left but Quiad blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fasstte accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fasstte stands up over Quiad, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Quiad pulls Fasstte in close to prevent any damage.
Quiad is breathing heavily.

Fasstte drops back looking for a leg! Quiad is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Quiad manages to kick Fasstte off! Fasstte jumps back into Quiad's guard.

Fasstte throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Quiad works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Quiad wants to sweep but no luck.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Quiad is on top in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Quiad's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Quiad avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Quiad postures up in Fasstte's guard and throws a big left but Fasstte blocks it.

Quiad trying to control the position from guard on top but Fasstte is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fasstte had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Quiad is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fasstte Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Quiad's back instead.
Quiad manages to reverse the position and now he's in Fasstte's guard. Nice work there by Quiad.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quiad wants to pass the guard but Fasstte is keeping the position.
Quiad trying to control the position from guard on top but Fasstte is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fasstte looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Fasstte is looking for a triangle but Quiad pushes his legs off easily.
Quiad passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Fasstte is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fasstte stuffs the takedown.
Fasstte tries a head kick but it misses.
Fasstte misses with a two punch combination.
Quiad closes the distance and clinches up with Fasstte, looking for a takedown. Quiad pushes Fasstte against the cage but Fasstte circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fasstte is trying hard to land a takedown here. Quiad sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Quiad shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fasstte but Fasstte pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Douglas Quiad. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fasstte stalks Quiad and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Quiad's face. Quiad staggers backwards, shaken.
Quiad scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fasstte tries to bench press Quiad off him but Quiad keeps the position.
Quiad lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Quiad wants to clinch.
Fasstte lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fasstte slaps away a takedown attempt from Quiad, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Quiad throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fasstte's waist but Fasstte gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quiad off to one side.
Fasstte scores with a jab to the jaw.
Quiad swats away the attempt to clinch by Fasstte.
Fasstte tries a head kick but it misses.

The fight stays on the outside here - Fasstte looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Quiad swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fasstte counters with a nice uppercut.
Fasstte lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Fasstte tries to bum rush Quiad with a series of wild strikes but Quiad uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Quiad misses with a body punch
and Fasstte counters with a series of strikes. Quiad will be more careful next time no doubt.
Fasstte tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Quiad counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Quiad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fasstte swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fasstte lands some strikes from the bottom.
Fasstte doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Quiad wants to control from the top but Fasstte keeps moving.
Douglas Quiad overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Quiad looking to sit in guard and control but Fasstte gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Quiad can't keep his opponent in guard - Fasstte advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Quiad connecting with a few gentle strikes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fasstte throwing hammer fists to the chest of Quiad. What's that going to do exactly?
Quiad dominating with strikes here.
Quiad can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fasstte is looking to escape.
Fasstte is bucking up trying to escape but Quiad cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Fasstte in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Quiad throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Quiad trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Fasstte is trying to escape the mount.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Douglas Quiad.
I think Quiad has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
