The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beam closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
KO has hold of Beam's hands but Beam slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Beam has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Beam is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Beam is trying to control the action in half guard but KO is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
KO won't allow Beam to pass to mount.
KO is looking to escape.
KO keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Beam is looking for a kimura but KO is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Beam to get the leverage.
Beam wants to lay and pray for a moment but KO keeps working.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
KO looks to land a right hand but Beam moved out of range.

Beam shoots in for a takedown but KO shows good takedown defense.

KO lands a big uppercut and Beam crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Beam looks OK. KO waves Beam back to his feet!
It looks like Jim Beam has been cut.
Beam fails in his attempt to clinch.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Beam tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but KO swivels and escapes.
KO cracks Beam with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Beam looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can KO finish him?
Beam is rocked!
KO moves in close and cracks Beam with a massive right hand! Beam, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by KO!
