Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlie Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norris Steinmayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phelps's entrance music is Dixie. A fine choice. Norris Steinmayer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phelps takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Phelps has a takedown stuffed.
Phelps closes the distance and clinches up with Steinmayer, looking for a takedown. Phelps pushes Steinmayer against the cage but Steinmayer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Steinmayer scores a takedown into full mount!
Phelps tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Steinmayer throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Phelps because Steinmayer loaded up on that one.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steinmayer looking to ground and pound but Phelps is blocking nicely.
Phelps tries to hold on but Steinmayer postures up.
Phelps is trying desperately to improve position.
Phelps slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Steinmayer trying to control but Phelps is working from the bottom.
Phelps bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Steinmayer's guard.
Steinmayer looks gassed!

Steinmayer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Phelps. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Norris Steinmayer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Steinmayer wants to control but Phelps is keeping busy.

Steinmayer has left one of his arms exposed and Phelps doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Steinmayer screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
