The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre lands with a nice combination. Slammo backs away looking to recover.
St Pierre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Slammo is fending him off so far but St Pierre persists. Nope, Slammo circles away and we're back to standing.

Slammo stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slammo loads up on a big right hand but St Pierre slips the punch.
Slammo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but St Pierre moves away.
St Pierre changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slammo tries to avoid it but St Pierre manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slammo to the ground. Slammo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
St Pierre dives in and grabs Slammo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slammo pushes down on St Pierre's head and hops out.
St Pierre closes this distance looking for a takedown but Slammo circles away.

St Pierre closes the distance and clinches up with Slammo, looking for a takedown. St Pierre pushes Slammo against the cage but Slammo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

St Pierre closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slammo to the mat! Slammo manages to get full guard.
Slammo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for St Pierre!
Slammo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slammo softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and St Pierre is out cold! Slammo jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
