Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Mycock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pat Mycock will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Blue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pat Mycock!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blue fails to land the takedown.
Blue looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Blue closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mycock to the mat! Mycock manages to get full guard.
Mycock manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blue manages to get himself to full guard.
Blue is striking but Mycock is not phased and passes to half guard.

Mycock is looking for a kimura but Blue is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mycock to get the leverage.
Blue is looking to control Mycock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Blue avoid being mounted?
Mycock prevents Blue from improving his position.
Mycock looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blue with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mycock trying to control from half guard but Blue is working away.

Mycock landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Mycock thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blue's head.
Blue wants to improve his position but Mycock is controlling well.
Blue might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Blue is not content to let Mycock control the position.
Mycock might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Blue kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Blue wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Mycock passes into side control, despite Blue's attempt to control the position.
Mycock is trying to ground and pound but Blue uses the momentary lack of control by Mycock to regain half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Blue closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Blue is trying to control the action in half guard but Mycock is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Mycock tries to get to full guard but Blue has control of the leg.

Mycock lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blue!

Mycock has hold of Blue's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blue manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Blue keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Blue is working hard here to advance position.
Mycock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blue. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blue wants to hold on but Mycock pushes him away.
Blue is desperately trying to improve his position but Mycock has a good base and remains in mount.

Mycock is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Blue can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Blue is wriggling around trying to escape.
Blue is squirming around, avoiding Mycock's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Blue bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Blue wants to control from the top but Mycock keeps moving.
Blue is looking to work some ground and pound but Mycock has wrist control.
Mycock has Blue pulled in close to control his posture.
Blue trying to control but Mycock is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Blue avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Horrible takedown by Blue or perhaps it was just good defense by Mycock which made him look bad.
Mycock stuffs the takedown.
Blue shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mycock as he jumps to the side.

Blue fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mycock sprawls well initially but Blue persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Well, if Blue is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mycock is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Blue scores with a couple of nice shots.

Mycock is trying to maintain the position but Blue is very close to passing his half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Blue wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mycock keeps working.
Blue not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Mycock is holding on to half guard well.
Mycock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Mycock decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mycock looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Blue gets full guard.
Mycock won't allow Blue to sweep him here.
Mycock wants to control from the top but Blue keeps moving.

Blue has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mycock has passed into side control.
Blue is trying to improve his position.
Blue is trying to control Mycock's posture but Mycock avoids it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mycock throws a leg kick which misses Blue's front leg but catches the back leg as Blue tries to avoid it.
Mycock closes the distance and clinches up with Blue, looking for a takedown. Mycock pushes Blue against the ropes but Blue circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mycock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mycock throws a sloppy head kick and Blue moves out of range easily.
Johnny Blue seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blue scores with a takedown into Mycock's guard.

Mycock has his foot on Blue's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blue works his way back into a safe position though.
Mycock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mycock wants to sweep here but Blue controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Whack! Mycock lands a heavy head kick that drops Blue. The ref tackles Mycock to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Blue was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Pat Mycock!
