Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Clay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenny Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay walks into a left hand.
Kenny Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clay displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wilson throws out the jab.
Wilson throws a nice looking combination but Clay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wilson misses with a two punch combination.

Clay feints and as Wilson raises his hands in defense, Clay changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Clay seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Clay throwing strikes from guard but Wilson blocks nicely.
Wilson keeping full guard, as Clay tries to pass.
Wilson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Clay stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Clay wants to stand but Wilson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Wilson wants to control the position but Clay says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Well, if Clay is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Clay.
Clay trying to control the action but Wilson is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson is trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Clay working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Wilson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Clay is taking a breather. Wilson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Wilson is looking for a sweep. Clay is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wilson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wilson trying to control but Clay postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wilson keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Wilson is looking to improve his position.
Clay tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Wilson is holding on to half guard well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wilson is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Clay throws a series of strikes that have Wilson backpedaling.
Wilson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Clay is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wilson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Clay is breathing heavily.
A lazy left from Wilson finds it's target.
Wilson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Wilson lands a left and a right that send Clay crashing to the mat, dazed. Wilson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Clay is rocked!
Wilson throws a combination that misses

and Clay counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wilson won't be happy with that.
Oh Clay is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Clay will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wilson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenny Wilson dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wilson lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Clay can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Wilson and Clay drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Wilson.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenny Wilson!
