PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between EJ Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justus Blazin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, EJ Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justus Blazin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blazin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
Blazin is looking to take a break and control but Sanchez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Blazin postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Sanchez to stand up.
Blazin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sanchez's waist but Blazin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blazin off to one side.

Sanchez feints and as Blazin raises his hands in defense, Sanchez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

EJ Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justus Blazin.

and Sanchez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blazin won't be happy with that. Sanchez with the ground and pound but Blazin regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Blazin is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Sanchez pulls his head out easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sanchez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Blazin holds on and takes a little breather.

Sanchez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blazin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sanchez, into his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that EJ Sanchez will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Blazin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Sanchez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Blazin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanchez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanchez's back!
Sanchez turns into Blazin and is now in his guard.
Blazin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sanchez!

Well Blazin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
