The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpha jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A telegraphed right hand from Alpha misses the target.
Alpha throws a hook but Wang avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Alpha throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Alpha tries to clinch up.
Horrible takedown by Wang or perhaps it was just good defense by Alpha which made him look bad.

Wang steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alpha.

Alpha has a couple of punches blocked by Wang.
Wang tries to pull guard but Alpha won't allow it.
Come on Wang - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Alpha throws a hook to the side of Wang's head but Wang sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Alpha misses with a leg kick.
Wang misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Alpha lands a lovely overhand right.
Alpha throws a lazy right hand but Wang sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alpha lunges at Wang with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wang's hand.
Alpha throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wang on the side of the head.

and Wang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Wang tries to free his leg and advance position but Alpha is retaining full guard.
Wang throws and elbow that misses. Alpha uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wang's guard. Nice move by Alpha!

Alpha got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wang has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alpha has managed to get both his arms back between Wang's legs - danger averted.
Alpha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wang is pulling down on Alpha's head. It's preventing any offense from Alpha, at least for the moment.

Wang has his foot on Alpha's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alpha works his way back into a safe position though.

Alpha throws a looping overhand right but Wang ducks down to avoid it.
Wang gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alpha.
Alpha cracks Wang with a good jab.
Alpha looks to land a right hand but Wang moved out of range.

A close second round but Wiley Alpha will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wang stands up over Alpha, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wang drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Alpha dives on top into guard.
Alpha's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Wang had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Alpha is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wang Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Alpha's back instead.
Wang throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Alpha is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Wang off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Wang looking to break Alpha's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Alpha remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wang will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
