Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Visily Vestuvich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin comes into the arena with Heat it up blaring out of the sound system. Reggie Franklin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vestuvich tries to clinch there but Franklin circles away.
Vestuvich shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Franklin sprawls well. Franklin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vestuvich gets slowly back to his feet.
Vestuvich misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Vestuvich is trying to break free.
Franklin controlling the action here for a moment.
Vestuvich goes for a takedown attempt but Franklin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Visily Vestuvich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vestuvich shoots in for a takedown but Franklin shows good takedown defense.

Vestuvich keeping moving, preventing Franklin from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Franklin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vestuvich is keeping the position for now.
Franklin is working Vestuvich over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Franklin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Vestuvich is looking for a triangle but Franklin pushes his legs off easily.

Franklin stands up from Vestuvich's guard - Franklin perhaps looking for a knockout.

Franklin darts in and clinches Vestuvich up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Franklin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Vestuvich regains guard immediately.
Franklin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Franklin works over Vestuvich with some ground and pound from guard.

Franklin drops back looking for a leg! Vestuvich is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vestuvich manages to kick Franklin off! Franklin jumps back into Vestuvich's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vestuvich is looking to stand up but Franklin isn't so interested in that idea.

Vestuvich looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Vestuvich wants to sweep but no luck.

Vestuvich is looking for a triangle but Franklin pushes his legs off easily.
Franklin is in close to Vestuvich's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Franklin, as that shot connected.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Franklin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Franklin clinches up with Vestuvich and pushes him back against the cage.

Franklin is trying to trip Vestuvich. He has hold of a leg but Vestuvich is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Franklin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Vestuvich is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Franklin wants to control from the top but Vestuvich keeps moving.
Franklin lands a couple of elbows.

Vestuvich looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Franklin scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Franklin is in close to Vestuvich's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Franklin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Vestuvich working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Franklin.
Franklin trying to control the position from guard on top but Vestuvich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Franklin has Vestuvich up against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Franklin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Visily Vestuvich's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Vestuvich throws a shot from downtown. Franklin moves away and avoids it.

Franklin drops back looking for a leg! Vestuvich is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vestuvich manages to kick Franklin off! Franklin jumps back into Vestuvich's guard.

Franklin is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Vestuvich has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Franklin is looking to defend but Vestuvich has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Franklin! Vestuvich pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Franklin taps out and this one is all over!
