PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between mohammad hussain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Motraghi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). hussain comes to the cage accompanied by ahhhh. Motraghi has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. mohammad hussain looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motraghi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Motraghi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. hussain tries to avoid it but Motraghi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag hussain to the ground. hussain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Motraghi looks gassed!

hussain closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Adam Motraghi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

hussain feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Motraghi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. hussain is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Motraghi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take hussain's back instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

so hussain counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
hussain slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Motraghi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. hussain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. hussain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Motraghi has his foot on hussain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. hussain works his way back into a safe position though.
