Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Palache (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palache has chosen Imma Star as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake shoots in and drives through. Palache sprawls well.
Blake walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Palache checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Blake throws out a powerful jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Palache.
Palache tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Palache throws a head kick that misses.
Blake buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Palache fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blake throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Palache.
Palache should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Blake's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Blake duly obliges.

It looks like Dirk Palache has been cut.
Blake uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Palache.
Blake fails in his attempt to clinch.
Blake lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nice straight punches there by Blake. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Blake.
Blake misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Palache wants to clinch.
Blake cracks Palache with a right hand to the side of the head.

Blake lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Left hook, right uppercut from Blake.
Blake will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Palache blocks a low kick nicely.

Palache shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Palache was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Blake is looking to improve his position but Palache isn't that keen on the idea.

Palache stands up from mount. Strange move.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blake throws a series of punches but Palache moves out of range.
Palache tries for a takedown but Blake circles away easily
and Blake counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Blake throws a left and a right that both miss

and Palache counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blake won't be happy with that.
Blake tries to bench press Palache off him but Palache keeps the position.

Palache decides to stand back up. Palache steps back and let's Blake get back to his feet.
Blake misses with a wild combination.
Blake keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Guy Blake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dirk Palache.

Palache tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blake swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Blake scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Palache rushes Blake and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Blake wants to break free but Palache has control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Palache changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Blake fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Blake fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Palache, pushing him back against the cage.
Blake is trying to break the clinch but Palache has him pressed against the cage.
Blake looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Palache tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Blake wants to break free but Palache has control.
Blake has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Palache pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blake breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Palache on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Blake fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Palache checks it well.
Blake leaves Palache with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Blake swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Palache clinches up with Blake and pushes him back against the cage.
Palache misses with a knee to the head.
Blake gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Palache.
Palache can't break the clinch.
Palache is working for takedown but Blake is calmly controlling the position for now.

Palache gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Palache won't allow Blake to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Palache wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Blake's closed guard. He's half up but Blake has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Blake pivots and extends the arm, Palache falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Blake! Well done that man!
