Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bronzio Pakuassado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonardo Caria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pakuassado comes to the cage accompanied by Rocky Balboa. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pakuassado changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Caria tries to avoid it but Pakuassado manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Caria to the ground. Caria escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pakuassado throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Caria.
Pakuassado tries to close the distance and clinch but Caria swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Caria fails with the takedown

and Pakuassado counters with a nice double leg into side control. Caria won't be happy with that.

Pakuassado tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caria is looking to reverse the position.
Caria seems a little lost for a moment, as Pakuassado dominates the positioning.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pakuassado cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Caria throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Pakuassado counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pakuassado.

Pakuassado throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Caria's waist but Caria gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pakuassado off to one side.

and Pakuassado decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Caria's guard.

Pakuassado drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pakuassado jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pakuassado fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Caria sprawls well initially but Pakuassado persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Caria had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pakuassado is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Caria Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pakuassado's back instead.

Pakuassado closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pakuassado lands in his opponent's guard.

Pakuassado is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Caria has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Pakuassado has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Caria taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Pakuassado doesn't care though - he's delighted!
