Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Victor VanPummel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Klit Oris!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VanPummel tries to close the distance and clinch but Oris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
VanPummel avoids the head kick by Oris.
VanPummel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Oris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
VanPummel throws a head kick that misses
and Oris counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Oris effectively controlling the action here.
VanPummel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Oris moves out of range of the strikes.
VanPummel throws a left and a right that both miss
and Oris counters by clinching up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oris looking to throw knees to the head but VanPummel is blocking nicely.
VanPummel breaks from the clinch.
VanPummel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
VanPummel throws a looping overhand right but Oris ducks down to avoid it.
VanPummel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Oris at a distance.
VanPummel falls off balance throwing a combination
and Oris counters with a nice low kick that buckles VanPummel's knee momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
VanPummel lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Oris can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from VanPummel and Oris drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by VanPummel.
