Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zachary Krantz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Jackson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zachary Krantz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krantz drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jackson keeping full guard, as Krantz tries to pass.
Krantz is working hard here to advance position.
Krantz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jackson wants to stand up but Krantz is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Krantz controls the pace.
Krantz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Krantz dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Krantz's head and hops out.
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson slips a jab from Krantz.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Krantz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Krantz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Krantz shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Krantz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zachary Krantz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Krantz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Krantz showed some decent athleticism there.
Krantz stalling.

Krantz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head.
Jackson won't allow Krantz to pass to mount.

Krantz is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work.
Krantz moves nicely into side control.
Krantz throws a strike aimed at the side of Jackson's head but Jackson avoids it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jackson is trying to control Krantz's posture but Krantz avoids it.
Krantz is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ground and pound from Krantz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Krantz in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson is looking to reverse the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Krantz counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Krantz is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jackson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Krantz asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Krantz passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jackson!
Krantz throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Jackson is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krantz fails to take his opponent's back.
Krantz putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Jackson is controlling an arm, preventing Krantz from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Krantz looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Jackson is bucking up trying to escape but Krantz cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Krantz throws some wild stikes that Jackson manages to avoid easily.
Krantz landing strikes from the mount and Jackson is in trouble!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jackson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Krantz tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Krantz fails to take his opponent's back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Jackson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Jackson throws a combination. Krantz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Krantz showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krantz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Krantz dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Jackson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Krantz.
Jackson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Krantz backs up against the cage.

Krantz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Krantz throws an elbow but Jackson slips to the side and avoids it well.
Jackson prevents Krantz from improving position.
Jackson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Krantz asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Krantz trying to control the position but Jackson is working away.

Jackson pushes Krantz away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Krantz gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Krantz is staying tight to Jackson's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Krantz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Krantz paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson throws out a leg kick but Krantz moves out of range and Jackson only half commits.
Zachary Krantz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Krantz on the wrong end of a nice jab.
No luck for Krantz with that takedown attempt.
Krantz throws a push kick but Jackson slaps the foot to one side.

And that's the end of the fight!
Matt Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Krantz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
