The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Penn as Quan shoots in.
Penn throws a right and a left that Quan avoids nicely.
Penn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Quan.
Quan wants to clinch up but Penn keeps it at a distance.
Quan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Penn sprawls well. Penn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Quan gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lei Quan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Quan fails to land the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Penn swats away the attempt to clinch by Quan.
Penn throws a jab when Quan was well out of range.

Quan tries to clinch up but Penn circles away and keeps his distance.
Quan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Quan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Penn pinned against the cage. Penn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Forrest Penn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice takedown defense from Penn. No joy for Quan on that attempt.
Penn lands with a big left! Quan is wobbled badly! Penn comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Quan to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
