PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and randy black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). randy black told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ron Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, randy black!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jensen scores with a shot to the body.
Jensen's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jensen duly obliges.

It looks like randy black has been cut.
Jensen tries to clinch but black moves out of range.
Jensen lands with a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jensen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jensen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jensen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jensen scores with a crisp jab that stopped black in his tracks.

Jensen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

black is working an open guard so Jensen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Jensen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. black looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jensen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but black is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jensen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jensen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jensen moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Jensen decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Jensen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. black did well to prevent Jensen getting side control.

The referee warns black that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jensen get's back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jensen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down black's shoulder. That is not cool.

Jensen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down black for as long as he can get away with.

Jensen has hold of black's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! black tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jensen cranks the arm and black screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from black, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
