Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nishio Hiotaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Lindholm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nishio Hiotaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Lindholm!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiotaki moves in looking to clinch but Lindholm pushes him off.
Hiotaki tries to clinch there but Lindholm circles away.
Hiotaki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hiotaki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lindholm looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
An elbow from Hiotaki crashes against the mat.
Lindholm sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hiotaki moves nicely into side control.
Hiotaki wants to control but Lindholm is keeping him busy.
Lindholm is trying to control Hiotaki's posture but Hiotaki avoids it.
Hiotaki throwing shots but missing, from side control.
A bit of a lull in the action here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lindholm closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hiotaki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lindholm is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lindholm has his foot on Hiotaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hiotaki works his way back into a safe position though.

Martin Lindholm dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hiotaki throws a head kick but Lindholm moves out of range.
Hiotaki lands a nice shot that snaps Lindholm's head back.
Hiotaki closes the distance but Lindholm moves to the side

and Lindholm counters by clinching up.

Lindholm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
