The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salles wants to clinch up but Duffe keeps it at a distance.
Salles shoots in and drives through. Duffe sprawls well.
No joy there for Salles, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Salles shoots for a takedown but Duffe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Salles is looking to clinch but Duffe is avoiding it.
Salles on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Salles on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Duffe looks to land a combination but Salles avoids it well.
Salles falls off balance throwing a combination
and Duffe counters with a straight right hand.

Salles fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Igor Duffe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Salles.

Duffe throws a right hand that Salles ducks under and follows up with a left that Salles also avoids with ease.

Duffe waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Salles. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Salles to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Salles is rocked!
Salles can't keep his opponent in guard - Duffe advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Duffe content to control rather than advance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Duffe seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Duffe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Salles knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Salles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duffe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Duffe in particular looking to stall.
Duffe thows a huge punch but Salles dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duffe stands up and beckons Salles to join him on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Salles takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Duffe ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Duffe throws a shot to the body.
Duffe scores with a punch to the head.
Duffe throws a series of punches but Salles moves out of range.
Duffe lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Salles with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Duffe to score with a decent uppercut.

Salles is still on wobbly legs! Can Duffe finish him?
Duffe lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Salles falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
