Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Landon Babs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Helm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Landon Babs has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Landon Babs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Mick Helm!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Helm has Babs up against the cage in a clinch.
Babs stops a takedown attempt from Helm.
Helm is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Helm is trying to drag Babs to the mat but Babs just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Landon Babs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Helm.

Helm gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Helm is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Babs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Helm.

Helm is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Babs is trying to stand up here but Helm is controlling him well.
Babs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Helm is trying to control the action in half guard but Babs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Helm looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Helm looks gassed!
Babs pushes Helm off looking to stand but Helm dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Helm is taking a breather. Babs says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Helm thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Babs's head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Babs uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Helm has time to react.
Babs lands a jab-cross combination.


It looks like Mick Helm has been cut.
Landon Babs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Babs lands a left and a right that send Helm crashing to the mat, dazed. Babs thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Helm is rocked!
Babs steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Helm is out on his feet! Babs sets himself and nearly takes Helm's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Landon Babs!
