PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Killington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Killington has chosen Deadman Walking as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jeff Killington will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killington fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lesnar avoids it really well and circles away.

Killington drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lesnar is breathing heavily.
Killington makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Killington is pushing down on Lesnar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lesnar is fighting to maintain full guard but Killington has managed to sneak the leg through.

Killington looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Killington has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lesnar's face.
Killington has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Killington lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Killington takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Let's hope that Killington has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Killington won't let Lesnar get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jeff Killington just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Killington shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lesnar defends it nicely.

Lesnar could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lesnar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lesnar leaves Killington with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lesnar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Killington on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Killington connects with a nice short shot to Lesnar's temple.
Killington is taking a breather. Lesnar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Killington working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Killington content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lesnar is trying to stand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Killington changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lesnar tries to avoid it but Killington manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lesnar to the ground. Lesnar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Killington is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Lesnar is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
