And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson tries to clinch up but Ortiz circles away and keeps his distance.

Anderson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The is referee keeping an eye on Anderson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Anderson gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.

Anderson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ortiz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ortiz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Anderson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Anderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ortiz on the ground.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ortiz lands a nice short elbow.

Ortiz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Anderson defends it well.
Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as Ortiz sits in half guard.

Anderson is trying to stand.
Ortiz content to control rather than advance.
Anderson trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Ortiz manages to pass to mount!
Ortiz lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ortiz throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Anderson has his hands clasped together but Ortiz breaks the hold and Anderson is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Ortiz!
