Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Lioneye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Durant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Lioneye has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Lioneye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Durant!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lioneye has a takedown stuffed.
Durant looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Durant misses with a head kick.
Lioneye tries to clinch but Durant is having none of it.

Durant feints and as Lioneye raises his hands in defense, Durant changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lioneye wants to get back to his feet but Durant is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lioneye really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lioneye leaves Durant with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lioneye is trying hard to land a takedown here. Durant sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Durant throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Lioneye is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Durant wants to control the pace but Lioneye is squirming around nicely.

Lioneye's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Durant controlling the pace for now.

Durant misses with a takedown

and Lioneye counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Durant has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lioneye is working away from the top position though.

Lioneye looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Durant!

Lioneye is going olschool here, as he tries to force Durant to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Durant shrugs it off.

Lioneye is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lioneye will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Durant leaves Lioneye with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lioneye takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lioneye jumps guard and drags Durant to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Durant is fighting to break Lioneye's control of his arms but Lioneye is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Durant wants to control from the top but Lioneye keeps moving.

and Durant decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lioneye's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Kevin Durant.
