Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackman feints and as Freire raises his hands in defense, Jackman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Freire is looking to stand up but Jackman isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackman trying to control but Freire is working from the bottom.
Freire wants to stand and escape but Jackman is having none of it.
Jackman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Freire pushes Jackman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jackman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jackman has hold of Freire's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Freire tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jackman cranks the arm and Freire screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Freire, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Nate Jackman!
