Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Fung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dixon Herbush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fung's entrance music is Till I Collapse. A fine choice. Dixon Herbush has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fung shoots in and drives through. Herbush sprawls well.

Fung moves into range and clinches up with Herbush.
Fung pressing his opponent against the cage.
Fung has Herbush pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Herbush manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Herbush tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fung just stands there and leans against the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Herbush. Fung does a little dance to reset his feet.

Fung closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Herbush can do anything to dispel that myth.

and Fung holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fung has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Herbush is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Herbush wanted to stand there but Fung had control of the position.
Fung keeping moving, preventing Herbush from controlling successfully.
Herbush postures up in Fung's guard and throws a big left but Fung blocks it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fung swats away the attempt to clinch by Herbush.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Herbush is defended easily by Fung.
Fung shoots in for a takedown but Herbush shows good takedown defense.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fung drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Herbush is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fung gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Herbush tries to pull guard but Fung holds him up against the cage and eventually Herbush drops back down to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
