Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarno Ahma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jere Rajamaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarno Ahma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jere Rajamaki!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ahma closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ahma just content to control the position.

Ahma tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ahma has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ahma controls the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ahma has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jarno Ahma just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Rajamaki doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Ahma counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ahma is breathing heavily.
Ahma tries to pass to full mount but Rajamaki defends it.
Ahma looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ahma seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rajamaki for as long as he can get away with.
Rajamaki trying to control here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ahma in particular looking to stall.
Rajamaki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ahma is working away from the top position though.
Rajamaki wants to improve his position but Ahma is controlling well.
Ahma uses his free foot to push down on Rajamaki's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rajamaki.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rajamaki is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ahma controlling his opponent.
Ahma prevents Rajamaki from getting the reversal.
Ahma sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Ahma forces the positional change into back control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ahma is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Rajamaki won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Ahma off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jarno Ahma!
