Doane is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Step Up- Drowning Pool . Nicky Salita has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salita slips a straight right by Doane.
Doane throws a hook to the side of Salita's head but Salita sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Salita shoots in and bounces Doane off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Salita trying to control the position from guard on top but Doane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Salita postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Salita cracks Doane with a solid left hand.
Doane wants to sweep here but Salita controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Doane wants to land a leg kick but Salita is out of range.
Doane throws a series of punches but Salita avoids them all with ease.
Salita looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Salita changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doane looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Salita wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Doane, who protects the arm well.

Doane is trying to control Salita's posture but Salita avoids it.
Doane is looking to regain half guard here but Salita keeps moving and retains side control.

Salita thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Doane is looking for a sweep. Salita is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Salita looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Salita has an Americana. Doane didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Salita is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Salita hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
