The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint Pierre dodges the punch combination from Kingkaid.
Saint Pierre misses with a body shot.

and Kingkaid counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kingkaid.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saint Pierre wants to get back to his feet but Kingkaid is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Saint Pierre wants to sweep here but Kingkaid controlling him for the moment.

Saint Pierre is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kingkaid is aware though and is defending well.

Saint Pierre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kingkaid gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kingkaid wants to control from the top but Saint Pierre keeps moving.
Kingkaid throws a strike but Saint Pierre rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kingkaid is striking off his back. Saint Pierre thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Saint Pierre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kingkaid keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Saint Pierre is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kingkaid doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Saint Pierre.
