Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pray comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bobby Lashley has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lay Pray!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pray leaves Lashley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pray closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pray lands in his opponent's guard.
Lashley keeping moving, preventing Pray from controlling successfully.
Lashley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pray controls the pace.

Lashley is trying to stand back up but Pray is controlling him
Pray is taking a breather. Lashley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lashley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pray perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Lashley tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Pray drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lashley tries to escape but Pray is in control.
Pray remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Pray's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pray stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pray wants it to stay on the feet.
Pray throws a lazy right hand but Lashley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Lashley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pray's waist but Pray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lashley off to one side.

Lashley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pray pinned against the cage. Pray gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lashley throws a big right hand that misses.
Pray is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pray postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lashley looks a forlorn figure.

Pray lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Let's hope that Pray has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Pray has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
