Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ned Ryerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wan Iaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryerson comes to the cage accompanied by I Got You Babe. Wan Iaton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iaton throws a body punch but Ryerson moves out of range.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ryerson.
Good leg kick by Ryerson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ryerson throws a leg kick but Iaton sees it coming and moves out of range.

and Iaton counters with a single leg into guard. Ryerson didn't expect that.
Ryerson has control of Iaton's left arm, preventing Iaton from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryerson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ryerson tries to get out of the position.

Iaton postures up in Ryerson's guard and throws a big left but Ryerson blocks it.

Ryerson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Iaton on the ground.
Iaton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ryerson's guard.
Ryerson pulls Iaton in close to his closed guard and prevents Iaton from doing any damage or advancing position.
Iaton is looking to work some ground and pound but Ryerson has wrist control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Ryerson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Iaton closes the distance and clinches up with Ryerson, looking for a takedown. Iaton pushes Ryerson against the cage but Ryerson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Iaton moves out of range as Ryerson throws a body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ryerson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Ryerson. Iaton shrugs it off though.

Iaton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ryerson tries to get to full guard but Iaton has control of the leg.
