PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hors Da Vors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Vors takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Smith misses with a low kick.
Smith tries to bum rush Da Vors with a series of wild strikes but Da Vors uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Da Vors tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Da Vors looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well.
A solid leg kick lands there for Smith.

Da Vors is looking to slow Smith down with leg kicks.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Da Vors moves away.

Da Vors drops back, looking for a kneebar! Smith looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Smith looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Smith!

That was a close second round but I would say that Alex Smith will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Da Vors cracks Smith with a big elbow.

Da Vors wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working.

Da Vors is looking for a kimura but Smith is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Da Vors to get the leverage.
Smith moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Da Vors postures up.

Da Vors drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Da Vors as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Smith screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Da Vors! Nice submission victory there!
