The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte doesn't manage to clinch there - Arruda circles away.
Duarte throws a nice looking combination but Arruda bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Duarte misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Duarte moves in looking to clinch but Arruda pushes him off.
Duarte throws out a leg kick but Arruda moves out of range and Duarte only half commits.
Duarte tries a head kick but it misses.

Duarte scores with a one two! Arruda had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

A chopping leg kick lands by Duarte.
Arruda circles away from the clinch attempt.
Duarte throws a series of punches but Arruda avoids them all with ease.

Duarte misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Duarte tries to bum rush Arruda with a series of wild strikes but Arruda uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Duarte throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Arruda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Duarte's guard.

Arruda drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Arruda seems to have locked his on tight now - Duarte screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Arruda, as he picks up the win!
