PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Stinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinn comes to the cage accompanied by Break Stuff. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Quinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barney Stinson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Quinn wants it to stay on the feet.
Stinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Quinn tries to sprawl out of it but Stinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quinn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice sprawl there from Stinson as Quinn shoots in.
Quinn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Stinson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Quinn had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Stinson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Quinn Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Stinson's back instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Stinson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Peter Quinn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stinson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Quinn manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Stinson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quinn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Quinn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Stinson is trying to stand up here but Quinn is controlling him well.
