Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Power Rade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power Rade will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Malone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Power Rade!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Malone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rade is wriggling around trying to escape.

Malone working for a guillotine from mount but Rade is in no mood to give up.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Malone cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


It looks like Power Rade has been cut.

Malone prevents Rade from getting the reversal.
Malone lands a big shot there that rocks Rade but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.


That has opened up Power Rade's cut even more.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rade is desperately trying to improve his position but Malone has a good base and remains in mount.
Rade is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Rade really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rade is trying to reverse the position but instead Malone has taken his back - oops!
Rade breaks Malone's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Malone looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rade prevents Malone from getting back to his feet.

Rade wants to pass the guard but Malone is keeping the position.
Rade must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Malone looking for a guillotine here but Rade defends easily.
Malone is breathing heavily.

Malone wriggles free and stands up.
Rade throws a looping overhand right but Malone ducks down to avoid it.
Rade misses with an attempted mid kick.

Rade displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Malone.
Rade scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Malone chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rade can pounce on him.

Rade fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rade throws a push kick but Malone slaps the foot to one side.
A nice leg kick lands there from Rade.
Rade pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rade lands a lovely overhand right.
Good exchange - Rade coming out on top.
Rade darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Malone walks into a straight right hand from Rade.
A slow jab from Rade misses its intended target.
Rade plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Malone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Malone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rade is looking to improve his position but Malone isn't that keen on the idea.

Malone with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Rade manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Rade gets back to full guard.
Malone won't allow Rade to sweep him here.
Rade is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Malone works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Malone trying to control the action but Rade is working from the bottom.
Rade is trying to stand up here but Malone is controlling him well.
Malone is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rade!
Rade sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Malone seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rade does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Rade is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Malone's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Malone's back!

Malone defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
Malone trying to control the position from guard on top but Rade is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rade tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malone was well out of range. Poor timing from Rade.
Malone fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rade avoids it really well and circles away.
Rade throws a leg kick but Malone checks it.
Alan Malone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Malone moves into the clinch successfully.
Rade tries to pull guard but Malone won't allow it.
Rade has had enough of the clinch but Malone keeps him there for the moment.
Rade wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Malone has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rade is trying to keep an underhook but Malone manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Rade wants to control but Malone is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rade cracks Malone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Malone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rade pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Malone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Malone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rade keeps working.

Malone is trying to get an arm triangle but Rade is defending well.
Malone wants to stand but Rade is controlling his arm.
Rade tries to buck Malone off but Malone is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Rade is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Rade slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Rade sneaks back into half guard.
Malone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rade keeps working.
Malone is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rade is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Rade is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Alan Malone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Malone not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rade scores with a head kick.
Rade throws a head kick but Malone moves out of range.
Rade defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Malone.

Malone tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rade sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Malone somewhat.

Rade throws a leg kick but Malone sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Rade misses with a kick to the body.

Malone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rade looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Malone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rade has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rade gets back to half guard.
Rade is looking to control Malone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rade avoid being mounted?

Malone is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rade wants to get back to full guard.
Rade moves into full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rade looking to hit a scissor sweep but Malone is one step ahead there.
Malone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rade swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Malone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rade dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Malone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Malone wants to sweep but no luck.

Rade swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Malone bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rade is looking to reverse the position.

Malone is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rade is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Malone is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rade is trying to escape and Malone transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rade is forced to tap! Nice work there by Malone! Very nice indeed!
