Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bart Boks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Kentaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Kentaro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kentaro. That did some damage!
Kentaro looks to land a combination but Boks avoids it well.

Kentaro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kentaro showed some decent athleticism there.
Boks looks like he's trying to stand up.
Boks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Boks throws a jab but it's blocked by Kentaro.

Boks throws a solid leg kick but Kentaro takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Boks.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boks.
Boks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kentaro as he avoids it easily.
Boks is breathing heavily.

Kentaro has Boks up against the cage in a clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kentaro is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kentaro is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boks could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Boks gets to his feet. Kentaro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Boks's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Boks duly obliges.
Kentaro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boks circles away.
Kentaro looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Boks looks to score with a jab to the body but Kentaro is just out of range.
Kentaro moves in looking to clinch but Boks pushes him off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kentaro lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kentaro.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Boks crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kentaro - the referee stops the clock and Boks gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kentaro. Boks manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Boks counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Boks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Boks cracks Kentaro with a nice body shot.
Kentaro goes for a takedown attempt but Boks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Boks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kentaro, pushing him back against the cage.
Kentaro tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boks smiles and moves away.
Boks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kentaro is looking to clinch.
Boks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice sprawl there from Boks as Kentaro shoots in.

Boks closes the distance and clinches.

Boks breaks the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boks throws a low kick, looking for Kentaro's leg but Kentaro calmly moves out of range.

Boks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kentaro, pushing him back against the cage.
Kentaro misses with a knee to the head.

Kentaro is fighting off a takedown attempt but Boks is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kentaro to the mat. Kentaro regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Boks stands up from Kentaro's guard - Boks perhaps looking for a knockout.

Boks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Boks decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kentaro to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kentaro fails with the takedown.
Nice takedown defense from Kentaro. No joy for Boks on that attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bart Boks will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Boks lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Kentaro is looking to close the distance but Boks sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Kentaro crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Kentaro is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
