The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Gracie is defending well.
Gracie flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Silva looks gassed!
Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Gracie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Silva is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea.

Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silva has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Silva is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Gracie off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Gracie lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Silva.
Gracie lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
