The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wessel avoids the body shot from Hoop.
A swing and a miss from Hoop.
Wessel stalks Hoop and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hoop's face. Hoop staggers backwards, shaken.
Wessel moves out of range as Hoop strikes.
A big left from Hoop misses.
Hoop walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hoop throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wessel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hoop throws a looping overhand right but Wessel ducks down to avoid it.
Hoop looks to land a left hand but Wessel moved out of range nicely.
Hoop scores with a hook.
Hoop is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Wessel's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

and Wessel counters with a left and a right that stings Hoop.

A bone on bone clash there as Hoop blocks the leg kick.

Wessel lands a left and a right that send Hoop crashing to the mat, dazed. Wessel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
