Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nathan Pearson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Billy McSwing!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McSwing tries to clinch up.
McSwing keeps the fight on the outside.

McSwing clinches up against the ropes.
McSwing can't get the takedown.

McSwing turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McSwing manages to end up in side control.
Pearson is looking to regain half guard here but McSwing keeps moving and retains side control.
Pearson is working hard here to advance position.
Pearson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Pearson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Pearson wants to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, McSwing seems content to control.

McSwing trying to control the action but Pearson is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pearson circles away from the clinch attempt

and Pearson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Pearson postures up.
McSwing keeping moving, preventing Pearson from controlling successfully.
McSwing is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pearson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pearson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pearson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McSwing dives on top into guard.
McSwing postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McSwing really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pearson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pearson wants to sweep but no luck.

McSwing is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Pearson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. McSwing is looking to defend but Pearson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for McSwing! Pearson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, McSwing taps out and this one is all over!
