Melendez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Here Comes The Best. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olyanek drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Melendez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Olyanek wants to work for an arm triangle but Melendez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Olyanek seems to be looking for submissions.

Olyanek drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Melendez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Olyanek has Melendez in his guard.

Melendez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Melendez is sitting in close to Olyanek's body. Olyanek has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Melendez is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Melendez is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Olyanek.
