The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson is looking to clinch but Acton is avoiding it.

Acton has Thompson up against the cage in a clinch.

Thompson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Acton scores a takedown into full mount!
Thompson is working to get back to half guard.
Thompson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Thompson tries to reverse the position but Acton maintains control.
Acton is looking to stand but Acton has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Acton looking to ground and pound but Thompson is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Acton avoids the attempt from Thompson to control.
Thompson is trying to escape the mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Acton trying to control but Thompson is having none of it.
Thompson is looking to improve his position but Acton isn't that keen on the idea.

Acton is keen to just control but Thompson is a slippery customer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Acton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thompson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thompson has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Acton. Oh but Thompson has got full guard now! Oh boy!
