Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gene Flintlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demarques Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Flintlock might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Undead by Hollywood Undead. The key to victory for Gene Flintlock has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a right and a left that Flintlock avoids nicely.
Flintlock avoids the head kick by Johnson.
Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Flintlock which made him look bad.
Flintlock shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Johnson moves out of range as Flintlock strikes.
Johnson throws a sloppy head kick and Flintlock moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson feints and as Flintlock raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Flintlock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flintlock is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Flintlock can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Johnson controls the pace.

Flintlock manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Johnson wants to stand and escape but Flintlock is having none of it.

Johnson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Flintlock stacks Johnson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Flintlock!

Flintlock throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Flintlock wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well.
Flintlock is breathing heavily.

Flintlock thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Johnson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Johnson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Flintlock knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Gene Flintlock will probably get the nod.

Flintlock darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Flintlock has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Johnson tries to lock up and control but Flintlock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Johnson stops Flintlock from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Flintlock is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Johnson is surviving well by controlling Flintlock's body position as best he can.

Flintlock swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Johnson is now in Flintlock's guard. A big mistake from Flintlock there, giving up the dominant position!

and Johnson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Flintlock is lucky that one didn't land flush.
